US Church Praise and worship, naked

A church in the US has taken to a very unique understanding of the biblical sentiment to come as you are.

Some of the parishioners have chosen to attend some of the services completely naked. The logic behind the unconventional form of worship is that possessions are of this world, and not important when coming together for God.
In an interview with WWBT NBC 12 News the pastor, Allen Parker, says that he is "baring" his soul to Christ, the way that we all arrived on this earth, naked. "We're humans, we have scars, we have what we have…it's learning to love and accept that."
The congregation is just as enthusiastic as he is. NBC reports, "Every Sunday in the front few rows of White Tail Chapel, you'll find Katie and Robert Church. Katie wasn't a nudist when they first met, but quickly fell in love with both Robert and the resort."
The couple attest to finding a sense of community at the church.
The congregation says that it is a misconception that they go because they find the idea exciting, or enjoy the attention.
Being naked seems to make them feel closer to God, and able to let go of the notion that human beings should be better than others whether it is financially or physically.

11 people arrested in cannibal hotel discovery

Following the discovery of human heads at a hotel restaurant in Anambra, Nigeria last week, eleven people have reportedly been arrested by police.

According to reports, those arrested include the hotel owner, six women and four men.
Police allegedly also seized AK-47 guns and other weapons.
This comes after the Osun Defender reported that, acting on a tip-off, police found two human heads wrapped in cellophane during a raid.
The restaurant which allegedly sold dishes made with human flesh and had 'roasted human head' on the menu has since been shut down.

Man kills wife for selling his chicken

A man has given himself up for arrest after allegedly beating his wife to death for selling one of his chickens.

Standard Digital reports that the 70-year-old man beat his 60-year-old wife to death with a piece of firewood after she sold one of his prized hens to buy food.
According to the report, the woman had not eaten in three days.
The man reportedly tried to defend himself when surrounded by Kakamega County villagers by saying that he frequently beat his wife when she did something wrong.

Maker of faulty French breast implants jailed

The founder of a French breast implant company has been sentenced to four years in prison by a Marseille criminal court on Tuesday for hiding the true nature of the sub-standard silicone used in the implants.

The sentence of 74-year-old Jean-Claude Mas, founder and Chief Executive of Poly Implant Prothese (PIP), capped a scandal that fuelled worldwide panic in 2011 after France recommended that women with implants manufactured by PIP must have them removed due to an abnormally high rupture rate.
Once the third-largest global supplier of breast implants, the company was shutdown in 2010 and its implants ordered off markets after inspectors pursuing a tip-off discovered vats of industrial-grade silicone outside the PIP factory in southern France.
Mas, who had been pursued for aggravated fraud, was also ordered to pay a €75,000 fine.
His lawyer, Yves Haddad, said he would appeal.
Four other executives, including the chief financial officer of the company were also sentenced to between one and a half and three years in prison, some of it suspended, and fined.
"It's a strong signal. This decision is what victims were waiting for," said one of their lawyers, Philippe Courtois.
Mas had admitted using silicone that was never approved by regulators but insisted that the gel used since the founding of the company in 1991 was non-toxic.
The two-month trial in April and May was held in an exhibition centre to accommodate the 7,400 civil plaintiffs and 300 lawyers.

Mike Sonko's Mandela Photoshop fail

Kenyan politician Senator Mike Sonko has reportedly been busted for posting a fake picture of himself with the late former South African president Nelson Mandela.

According to reports, following Mandela's death on 5 December 2013 numerous prominent people posted pictures of themselves with him and in a bid to follow suit, Sonko posted a Photoshopped picture on his Facebook page.
The picture Sonko allegedly posted was badly pixelated and it turns out the original image was of Mandela and heavyweight boxing champ Muhammad Ali.
This is Sonko's second Photoshop scandal after pictures of him allegedly in bed with Kenyan politician Rachael Shebesh leaked in October.

Is Teacher Wanjiku heading back to Churchill?

Teacher Wanjiku is reportedly going back to The Churchill Show.

This comes after the comedian's own show was canned from Citizen TV due to negative reviews and poor ratings.
According to reports, a source at the Laugh Industry said Teacher would be back on the show by June.
Ghafla says the source said, "(Teacher Wanjiku) is in talks with Churchill to make a comeback on the show."
Meanwhile, Teacher has remained tight-lipped about the failure of her show and has also refrained from commenting about her rumoured return to The Churchill Show.

Sauti Sol: Kenyatta please pay us our money

Sauti Sol caused a stir on Twitter yesterday when they exposed President Uhuru Kenyatta for failing to pay them after they performed at the Kenya @50 celebration last year.

Niaje says Sauti Sol said on Twitter, "Dear Mr President. It has been 6 months since our performance at Kenya@50! Please pay us our dues. @UKenyatta #kenyaat50" [sic]
According to reports, none of the artists who performed at the celebration have been paid to date.
Sauti Sol's tweet got them a response from the government website which said on Twitter, "your tweets requesting intervention on pending payments have been noted and we are following up, we will revert."

Jaguar Has responded to charity accusations

Jaguar has reportedly responded to accusations that his charity work is just a farce for publicity.

According to reports, this comes after the musician was accused of showing off with his charity work.
Jaguar responded to his "haters" and said he helps the less fortunate because he's driven by the need to impact people's lives in a positive light in whatever way he can, reports Niaje.
Jaguar allegedly added that he prefers helping individuals as opposed to visiting children's homes because it's easier to follow up with individual progress.
Nairobi News says Jaguar said, "I avoid children's homes because they have since become money-minting ventures, that's why I prefer helping individuals."
Jaguar is famed for his philanthropic ways and has previously cleared ailing musician Jimwat's hospital bill.

Gospel artiste of Pambazuka na yesu accused of adultery

A Nairobi gospel artiste known for the hit Pambazuka na Yesu wants to divorce her bishop husband.
Pastor Joan Wairimu Githuku and her husband have both filed cases in court accusing each other of adultery.
Pastor Wairimu has initiated the case at a Nairobi court where she seeks orders of separation.
But her husband, Bishop William Musyoki Mwangangi, has filed a cross petition asking the court to dissolve the marriage. The couple got married in 1996 in church.
But the two have recently been engaged in counter accusations over the divorce case, which is yet to start.
The accusations range from cruelty, adultery, watching of pornographic movies, denial of conjugal rights and issuance of death threats.
Pastor Wairimu is a gospel musician known mostly for her song Pambazuka na Yesu, which is popular on YouTube and is often downloaded as a ringtone by many Nairobians. She also runs Pambazuka Production and Queens Ministry.
Bishop Mwangangi, who is the head of Jesus Manifestation Church in Githurai 45, accuses her wife of denying him conjugal rights since 2009.
But Pastor Wairimu claims her has had many adulterous affairs with known and unknown women causing her to suffer great embarrassment.
She has listed five women including house girls she claims her husband has slept with since 1996.
She claims the bishop has sired a child out of wedlock as a result of his adulterous actions, but the bishop denies the accusation.
Bishop Mwangangi on the other hand claims that his wife, who recently moved out of their matrimonial home in Muthiaga North, has denied him his conjugal rights for the last five years.
He further denies that he has been exposing their three children to sexually explicit text messages and nude pictures of his lovers. The claims, he says, are imaginary and meant to malign him as a man of God.
“To the contrary, it is the petitioner (Pastor Wairimu) who has been watching pornographic movies in the house at night in the name of copying sexual styles whereas she has denied the respondent his conjugal rights for the last five years,” the Bishop alleges.
He says his wife has been cruel to him to the extent that she slept out of the matrimonial home without informing him and the children of her whereabouts. He has also linked her to various adulterous actions with some men since 2006. He claims the wife on several occasions made sexual advances to their shamba boys and a driver. Those who turned down the advances were sacked, the bishop says.
One of the drivers has filed an affidavit as a witness in support of the bishop’s case claiming that Pastor Wairimu made advances to him in April when her husband was away in South Africa for a mission.
She is also accused of bringing her lover to the matrimonial home for a sleepover in 2006.
Pastor Wairimu has also allegedly issued death threats to her husband telling him that he would kill him through food poisoning.
“Subsequently on July 29, 2013, the petitioner sent the respondent the message, ‘Baba X (name of their child omitted by The Nairobian), I will make sure that you will be a dead man’,” claims the bishop.
But the bishop is also accused by the wife of issuing many death threats to her and making her live in fear and causing her mental anguish.
Pastor Wairimu claims the husband on July 5 threatened her and she made a report to the police. The bishop was summoned by police and made to record a statement. He denies making death threats to the wife.
She further claims that the bishop has been verbally abusive  and has physically assaulted her throughout their marriage.
The bishop, she alleges, has been rude arrogant and very demeaning to her in front of the children, housegirls and their relatives.
Pastor Wairimu accuses the husband of failing to take up his parental responsibility over the children and instead living a splashy and wasteful lifestyle, spending hundreds of thousands on expensive shoes, perfumes, and watches while the children’s upkeep has not been catered for.
